Cordyline Red Edge thrives in bright indirect light but can handle some gentle direct morning sun if acclimatised. Keep the soil lightly moist with good drainage, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. It enjoys warmth and moderate humidity, but is fairly adaptable once settled. Feed lightly during the growing season to support strong, colourful foliage.
 
Troubleshooting
Browning leaf tips are often caused by dry air, inconsistent watering, or fluoride in tap water sensitivity. If the red colouring fades, the plant may need more light. Yellowing lower leaves are usually part of natural ageing, but can also indicate overwatering. If growth slows, check light levels and ensure the roots aren’t sitting in overly wet soil — this plant prefers balance, not extremes.

Cordyline Fruticosa Red Edge is toxic to cats, dogs, and reptiles if ingested. It contains compounds that can cause vomiting, drooling, and digestive upset if chewed. It is not considered safe for tortoises, bearded dragons, geckos, or other curious pets that may sample foliage. Best placed out of reach so your plant stays decorative and your pets stay out of trouble.
