Flame Moss thrives in bright, indirect light with consistently high humidity and moist conditions. It grows best when attached to wood, rocks, or other hardscape using thread or moss glue until established. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can dry the moss out quickly, and use rainwater, distilled water, or reverse osmosis water where possible for the healthiest growth.

If the moss starts turning brown or loses its upright shape, it is usually a sign of low humidity, drying out, or excessive direct sunlight.
