The Calathea ‘White Fusion’ is one of the most visually striking prayer plants, prized for its marbled foliage that blends creamy white, pale green, and deep emerald tones with soft lavender undersides. Each leaf appears uniquely painted, with no two patterns ever identical.
The leaves are thin, elegant, and slightly rippled along the edges, giving the plant a delicate, almost ethereal movement as it responds to light and time of day. At night, the foliage subtly folds upward, a natural rhythm known as “prayer movement.”

Full Care Guide
🌞 Light Requirements
Prefers bright, indirect light
Gentle light enhances variegation and keeps patterns crisp
❌ Avoid direct sun, which will scorch delicate leaves
💡 Too little light may reduce white variegation and cause dull colouring.
💧 Watering
Keep soil consistently moist but never soggy
Do not allow soil to dry out completely
🕰️ Typically every 4–7 days, depending on environment
⚖️ Very sensitive to both drought and overwatering.
🌱 Soil Requirements
Requires a light, airy, moisture-retentive mix
Ideal blend:
Peat or coco coir
Perlite
Fine orchid bark
Small amount of compost
🌱 Needs balance: moisture retention with excellent drainage.
Best Growth Habitat
🌡️ Temperature: 18–26°C

Terrarium or cabinet-style setups
Maintenance & Care
✂️ Leaf Care
Remove yellowing or damaged leaves at the base

Stable humidity is more important than frequent fertilising
