My Take on Tuft Carex Honey Bird — The Perfect Little Volcanic Tuft for Your Enclosure

This cute little volcanic tuft fills up that last awkward corner in your enclosure that you never quite know what to put. I keep mine as a single tuft — I don’t divide it. The best part? These are reptile safe, so tuft away without worries!

Here are a few quick care tips:

Water:

They love staying moist. You don’t want them sitting in soggy swamp water, but you also don’t want them drying out completely. In an enclosure or terrarium, mist regularly or use a light water trickle. If you’re keeping it in a pot or moss ball, just keep the soil or moss damp to the touch.

Light:

They’re super chill with light.

  • Indoors: bright, indirect light is ideal

  • Outdoors: they can handle some sun if you keep them moist

  • Enclosures: dappled light or grow lights work great

Growth Habit:

They grow low and tufted — like mini grassy fountains. The leaves are green with creamy golden edges, adding texture and a splash of color contrast. I keep mine as one tuft but you can easily divide them if they get too bushy.

Maintenance:

Trim any brown tips to keep it looking neat. Divide only if it outgrows its spot. That’s it — honestly, they’re super low-fuss.

🐾 Pet-safe?

Yep! 100% non-toxic, making them perfect for reptile enclosures, frog tanks, and even curious cats.

Need a lush, easy-care filler? Tuft Carex Honey Bird has you covered. Stick it in your enclosure, mist it now and then, and watch your setup go next-level.
