Philodendron ‘Ring of Fire’ is a slow-burn showstopper. Each leaf emerges with a completely different mix of colours, ranging from deep green to bright lime, with flashes of orange, red, and creamy variegation. No two leaves are ever the same, which makes every plant feel like a one-of-a-kind piece.

The foliage is long and serrated, with jagged edges that give it that fiery, untamed look. Even at plug size, you’ll start to see hints of that signature colour variation, with more intense variegation developing as the plant matures.

It’s bold, unpredictable, and gets better with every new leaf.

Care

Philodendron ‘Ring of Fire’ prefers bright, indirect light. Good lighting helps bring out stronger variegation and keeps growth steady. Too little light can result in slower growth and more muted colouring.

Water when the top layer of soil dries out. Keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy. A well-draining mix is essential, especially at plug stage.

It adapts well to average indoor humidity but will thrive with a bit more moisture in the air.

Keep in a warm, stable environment for best growth.

Troubleshooting

Reverting to more green leaves usually means it needs more light.

Yellowing leaves are often caused by overwatering or poor drainage.

Brown tips or edges can be from dry air or inconsistent watering.

If growth feels slow, don’t stress, this is naturally a slower-growing philodendron, especially when young.

Pet & Reptile Safety

Not pet or reptile safe. Like other philodendrons, it contains calcium oxalate crystals and is toxic if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and reptiles.
