Appearance and growth habit
Epipremnum Marble Queen is a classic trailing houseplant with heart-shaped green leaves heavily marbled and splashed with creamy white. It grows into a lush, trailing vine and looks great in hanging pots, on shelves, or trained up a support. Each leaf is a little different, so expect plenty of natural variation.
 
Care requirements
Give your Marble Queen bright, indirect light to encourage strong growth and good variegation. Water when the top few centimetres of soil have dried, then allow excess water to drain away. It enjoys warmth, moderate to high humidity and a well-draining potting mix. Lower light is tolerated, but growth may slow and the leaves can become greener. Basically, it likes the good life, but isn't especially demanding.
 
Troubleshooting
Yellow leaves are often a sign of overwatering, while crispy brown edges can indicate inconsistent watering, dry air or too much direct sun. If new leaves are becoming mostly green, increase the light gradually. Slow growth is perfectly normal in lower light, but give it brighter indirect light if you want your Marble Queen to put on a bit more of a show.
 
Pet and reptile safety
Epipremnum Marble Queen is toxic if ingested and should be kept away from cats, dogs and other pets that like to nibble plants. It is not recommended as a reptile-safe plant, particularly for enclosures where animals may chew or consume the foliage. Best enjoyed as a decorative houseplant rather than a reptile snack bar.
