Appearance and growth habit

Epipremnum N'Joy is a compact, variegated pothos with striking green and creamy-white leaves. Its smaller, slightly thicker foliage and naturally trailing growth make it ideal for shelves, hanging pots or climbing supports. It is a slower-growing pothos variety, but well worth the wait for those gorgeous variegated leaves.

Care requirements

Give Epipremnum N'Joy bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation, although it can tolerate moderate light. Water when the top layer of soil has dried, and use a loose, well-draining potting mix. It enjoys moderate humidity but is generally adaptable to normal indoor conditions. A

moss pole or trellis can encourage larger leaves and a more mature climbing form.

Troubleshooting

Yellow leaves usually indicate overwatering, while crispy edges can point to dry conditions, low humidity or too much direct sun. If new growth starts appearing mostly green, move the plant somewhere brighter to encourage better variegation. Avoid constantly wet soil, as this can lead to root rot. N'Joy is fairly forgiving, but even pothos have limits.

Pet and reptile safety

Epipremnum N'Joy is toxic if ingested by cats, dogs and other pets. It contains insoluble calcium oxalates, which can cause mouth irritation, drooling, swelling and difficulty swallowing if chewed or consumed. It is not recommended for reptile enclosures where accidental nibbling is possible. While it is fine to handle as a decorative plant, keep it away from pets and reptiles that may decide your plant collection is the salad bar.
