Appearance and growth habit
Anthurium Veitchii, commonly known as the King Anthurium, is famous for its long, deeply corrugated leaves that create a bold tropical statement. As the plant matures, the foliage can grow impressively large, cascading downward in dramatic fashion. Its architectural appearance and unique texture make it a favourite among collectors looking for something truly special.

Care requirements
This tropical beauty thrives in bright, indirect light and enjoys warm temperatures with moderate to high humidity. Water when the growing medium begins to dry slightly, using a chunky, well-draining aroid mix that allows plenty of airflow around the roots. Good humidity and consistent care will encourage larger leaves and steady growth over time.

Troubleshooting
Brown leaf edges are often caused by low humidity, mineral build-up, or inconsistent watering. Yellowing leaves may indicate overwatering or poor drainage. If new leaves emerge smaller than expected, the plant may benefit from brighter indirect light, higher humidity, or regular feeding during the growing season.

Pet and reptile safety
Anthurium Veitchii is toxic if chewed or ingested by cats, dogs, and reptiles due to the presence of calcium oxalate crystals. It is not considered pet friendly or reptile safe and should be kept out of reach of curious animals. While it makes an exceptional indoor display plant, it is not suitable for bioactive reptile enclosures or habitats where animals may come into contact with the foliage.
