Appearance and growth habit
Brasil Cocktail Kokedama features a vibrant mix of Philodendron Brasil and complementary trailing foliage, creating a lush display of heart-shaped leaves splashed with lime-green variegation. The contrast between the bright markings and deep green foliage gives this kokedama plenty of visual impact, while its trailing growth habit makes it perfect for shelves, hanging displays, or plant lovers who enjoy a little controlled wildness.
Care requirements
This easy-care kokedama thrives in bright, indirect light and adapts well to typical indoor conditions. Soak the moss ball when it feels noticeably lighter and allow excess water to drain completely. While it appreciates moderate humidity, it is generally forgiving and suitable for both beginner and experienced plant owners.
Troubleshooting
Yellowing leaves are often a sign of overwatering, while drooping foliage may indicate the moss ball has become too dry. If the variegation starts to fade or growth becomes leggy, move the plant to a brighter spot with filtered light. Remove any damaged leaves to keep the plant looking its best.
Pet and reptile safety
Philodendron Brasil and related Philodendron varieties contain calcium oxalate crystals and are toxic to cats, dogs, and many household pets if ingested. They are also not recommended for reptile enclosures, as chewing the leaves can cause mouth irritation and digestive discomfort. If you have curious pets or reptiles that may sample your plants, this is best displayed out of reach.
